Best Damn Street Corner

My cousin says his best friend’s uncle on his mother’s side knows this guy named Mikey, and he knows where you can find the best street corner in the world. Lucky for you, Mikey can’t wait to tell you why this particular street corner is the number 1 undisputed heavyweight champion of street corners.

This animated mockumentary is a celebration of transitional spaces, spaces that leave our thoughts as quickly as we move through them. What would it take for a transitional space to become a destination? Mikey has the answer.

The Best Corner on the Whole Planet

This micro short was created for the Hellavision Television “Earth” episode in March 2023 and is the inspiration for Best Damn Street Corner. The theme of the episode was loosely like “What would you teach an alien about Earth?” So, I imagined a guy who had a very biased opinion on where the best place on the planet is, because I think we all have something that is extremely important to us even though it’s mundane to everyone else.
